Only a controversy for the fans that think there can only be one leader on this team JJ or JL. Which is far from the case. JL was voted team captain by his teammates after the incident. Us fans are just on the sidelines if we like it or not.
You self-righteous types need to look in the mirror. Head Coaches that make millions per season can't stop players from getting free tattoos, suits, tattoos, trips, etc., but a fellow teammate should be the pied piper and control them better. Most of you are a bunch of hypocrites for condemning someone that has not been convicted of a crime. A charge is not the same as a conviction. Now, you're taking media quotes and continuing to judge him. Just to find out that it was misquotes. He's not perfect, as none of you are, but he's a much better young man than many of you think because you're attaching character to on-field performance. Everyone is watching Lee play better under new offensive coaches. For some reason, it's not possible that Jefferson could be playing better either. Only Lee has improved. Crowton was the problem for Lee, but for Jefferson, he was just subpar. I hope recruits and their families present at the game and those that watched on tv took notice of the booing that took place this past Saturday. Kiss your Landon Collins, Rickey Jeffersons, and more goodbye with that type of fan support of young men that put their health on the line to entertain a bunch of drunken imbeciles week end and week out. I'm embarrassed, but this behavior is very consistent with this society. Especially, Louisiana.
THIS Where is the true lack of confidence? JJ? JL? OR CLM? I trust CLM, and will support whomever he puts under center. I am no fan of a 2 QB system, never have been. But I am a fan of the LSU Tigers... & every team they field, including a 2 QB system if that is what is out there. I will hope and root for the best results regardless. I am more comfortable with Lee behind center than I was before the start of the season, even after the Kentucky outing. Also, I have always liked JJ, never hated him, and I will admit that I am very curious to see him under Krag & Studs system to see if he has made the same QB improvements that Lee has shown. Of course, JJ using his legs is always an additional weapon and when it works, it reminds me that Lee stands in wet concrete in the pocket. MHO – If JJ has improved his reads and throwing ability as much as Lee has, then there is no doubt I personally want him under center the remainder of the way and feel that he gives us the best chance of BCSNCG Win.
Buddy, you can go root for another team in another state. LSU doesn't need fans like you who make disgusting, TREASONOUS comments like you do above. ENCOURAGING recruits to dump LSU? BASHING the whole State of Louisiana? You really need to re-consider your words, if you are an LSU fan. My take is that we have to trust Coach Miles on this QB issue. Trusting Coach means that we sit back and carefully observe the ENTIRE course of events play out THEN analyze Coach's handling of the situation. JJ apparently will not redshirt this year, so, the entire course of events will play out at the end of this football season. My take is that we can't intelligently and critically analyze Coach Miles's handling of this situation until then. We will have plenty of time to analyze Coach Miles's handling of this situation after the entire course of events play out.
What we think as fans ... is .... that for the last two years, our offense has been abismal ... sure, JJ has went 20-7 .... big woop ... no SEC NC .. and no BCS CG. In fact, an offense that we all cringe when it takes the field. His 20-7 record is complements of the DEFENSE. For the first time in 3 years ... we fans are [or say 'were" as it is uncertain now] excited when the offensive unit came on the field. We had Ware and Ford tearing it up. We had Lee completing 6 TD passes in the first 4 games, with couple "should a beens". We don't automatically think .. "here comes another 3-out". We were THROUGH with the QB drama and the suck arse offense. .. but alas ... that "feeling" is back. Florida will tell the story. Either this offense continues to progress as it did in the first 4 games ... or it starts to regress back to what it was last year. IF it regresses ... you can kiss that :crystal: goodbye. We will not beat Bama, may not beat the barn, and likely won't beat the pigs. The D is good, but winning requires an offense to stay on the field long enough to allow the D to rest up a bit ... and to put at least some points on the board. Here's to hoping for the best. I'm with RWilliams ... I hope I'm wrong. I pray that all you guys get to come in here and "tell me so".
unfortunately, we have likely already lost rickey jefferson. it appears he is now looking at other schools.
Exactly. The fact that he is allowed to speak to the media already seems unwise. That and his "I can't imagine anyone else going through more than I did" comment. There is something off about that. May be nothing. We will see.
3 things. 1) If the offense begins to regress, I would say it is safe to say that started last week against Kentucky. 2) If Lee is on the field while the offense begins to regress, Who’s Fault is that? Because all bs aside, if Lee can’t continue to produce due to the fact that he feels JJ breathing down his neck.......that is NOT a National Championship QB to begin with. He is a QB, with a dad that is a QB coach. He has probably been playing Football AND QB for 10+ years. He has been battling it out for the starting position his whole life, this is nothing new for any QB 3) I still would like to see if JJ has made the same improvements that Lee has made under Krags. Because if he has, with his legs, which he showed Saturday, he is the better weapon back there.
