They tried last year to do just that and jj went something like 8for18 92yards and 2 interceptions.

    Yes & Yes

JJ running is not always a weapon when the defense knows it’s coming, it’s only a weapon when he has the ability to get outside of a broken pocket and scramble for first downs on 3rd & 6 type situations. He did look good against Kentucky, but when the read isn’t working we have to be able to switch back to the Pro Style set, in the middle of a drive, with the SAME QB & stay productive (No Substitutions in the middle of a drive) – You cant Telegraph your Play calling any worse

JJ is no Cam or D-Rob

JJ's problem is that if his scramble works once, he wants to scramble again and again. IF Krags has taught him anything and helped him improve the way (I am assuming) he has helped Lee improve in the passing game, and JJ can manage games and complete passes the way Lee can, then his ability to scramble for 1st down every now and again, will make JJ a better option behind center for LSU. Only because that ability to make plays with his legs on 3rd downs to keep drives a live.

We are talking a HUGE IF

Because if it’s the same ole scramble first, hold on to the ball too long, under/over throw, get your WR's creamed, and then throw a pout party on the sideline JJ - Phuck Him, grab a clipboard and get comfortable.

See stats from A&M game, JJ operated both styles very efficiently.

    He is just inconsistent.

Don't fool yourself, JL is just as mentally shaken as JJ. Watch him under pressure and see how he curls up into a ball and falls to the ground. The problem is that both JJ and JL are average at best. They have their particular skill set and can't seem to rise above that. Honestly, our best QB is Mettenberger, but barring injury, it now seems like he won't see the field anytime soon this season.

You got a quote on that one??? Did T-Bob say .. Jefferson deserves to start cause he is a brotha? ... I haven't read or heard anything like such. I haven't even heard of any players stating that JJ should resume in his starting position ... but then, I could well be out of the loop.
