I didn't see the interview but I listened to it. I can truely say that what is written and what I heard is completely diffrent. Jj did sound both sincere and humbled. He sounded like a young man trying not to swim in self pity but trying to be positive and move on. He didn't sound like the written press made it appear.
+1 JJ haters are reaching out to a Bamer to support their distain of JJ ! Wow - lets go copy and paste what this bamer thinks of Les and make sure you agree with him 100%!!! JJ hate is just getting out of hand. Make sure as JJ scores his next TD to boooooo! It seems to be the new Tiger way.
You can both feel sorry for jj while supporting him in his dealings with the courts and not believe he is the qb to lead lsu to a national title. I think jj got fingered for something he didn't do. I don't think he was the one kicking and I don't agree with how the media is misrepresenting what he has said in an interview. I do feel that the two qb system of last year isn't as good as the offense we fielded from uo to wvu games. Both opinions can be had at the same time.
I think jj's name was thrown out there because 1) it's one of the only names that the accusers knew 2) the hope that lsu would offer hush money to save their qb
clearly he was involved. lets not be the idiots who pretend we never do wrong and be accountable. theres always finger pointing elsewhere until it lands home. theres a reason his charges were reduced and not dropped like johns. that being said, he will be booed worse saturday due to this interview. thats a given. its just a matter if it ends up affecting any recruits decisions that will be in attendance.
that is my worry. and those that say "if they cant stand a little booing, we dont need em". really? the coaches work their butts off to get the best and if fans phuck some things up with their behavior, it's ok? bet they will also be the first to criticize our coaches for "not being able to recruit" if we lose any young men.
Fist of all, I believe JL should continue to start and play the entire game if he is doing well. He has proven this is his team to lead. However, IF JJ has to come in to relieve JL, can someone tell me why JJ can not be as effective in the same Offense? Pro set, I Backs, play action. JJ has a good arm, seems to make decent reads in that style of offense and has escapabitity if the pocket breaks down. I think most of JJ's problems as a QB come into play because when he is in we revert 100% back to this read option garbage that he is really not very good at.
BINGO! The problem is, will the coaches use him in a pro-style, or are they stuck on stupid with the read option garbage. JJ may very well be heads and shoulders above JL, but the coaches do not use him in an apples to apples game plan. And since JJ sucks at the read option, using it makes him look worse than he may be. I think this all goes back to the Crowton crap of last season. JJ is a Crowton prodigy.
JJ takes too long to deliver the ball. I dont think we can suddenly develop a consistent vertical passing game and convert him. Hes going to be a change of pace guy and run the ball foremost. even if he takes over as the starter. short passes, misdirection and read option.
