    agree

being raised in the 60s I would like to think that none of this had to do with the white / black thing

what you just said is the truth - JJ cant fix the redneck mind set of South Louisiana but he can do what he can when called on

JL remembers the pain of all the boooos and he has stuck it out to show his metal!

Life is tough and filled with dumb stupid and dumber

    Good luck JL

    Good luck JJ

lets go beat down some Gators

Nobody Proves Jordan Jefferson Is an Idiot Better Than Himself

    Nice article by Larry Burton

Nobody Proves Jordan Jefferson Is an Idiot Better Than Himself

I think Larry has Jordan Jefferson in a nutshell!

Larry Burton (Syndicated Writer) In one short sweet paragraph, Jordan Jefferson shows how privileged he thinks he is as well as how stupid he is. It is obvious that Jefferson is not a public relations major and that Miles should consider his statement carefully before allowing him to ever throw another ball at LSU.

According to ESPN, Jefferson said, "I can't imagine anybody in the country going through more than I did. But, I'm now wiser and more aware. God puts people in certain situations. I don't regret anything."

Let's break this statement down sentence by sentence.

"I can't imagine anybody in the country going through more than I did."

So, his plight was worse than a policeman crippled for life protecting innocent people? His plight was worse than a wife with three small children losing her husband in Afghanistan? Or two parents losing their child to a drunk driver?

Really? Please, Jordan, have you no sense of reality or shame, for that matter?

"But now I'm wiser and more aware."

Really? That first sentence shows us you're still pitifully unaware that it's not all about you, Mr. Big Head. To us you appear much more stupid than before.

"God puts people in certain situations."

Are you really telling us that God put you in that bar late at night? Did you even think about that statement? Do you really think God is busy sending people to bars and bar fights? Really?

Did you ever consider it may have been his nemesis, Satan, that sent you to a bar late at night past curfew?

    "I don't regret anything."

Really? This one should raise Les Miles' eyebrows.

You don't regret breaking curfew? You don't regret being such a poor leader that you were breaking curfew with several other players? As a leader and a senior, you should have been guiding them better.

You don't regret you were simply too stupid to throw your hands in air and walk away from the fight rather than be involved in it? You don't regret not telling your teammates to walk away with you?

You don't regret becoming a laughing stock? You don't regret being suspended from the team? You don't regret losing your starting job? You don't regret putting your parents through all of this? You don't regret putting your coaches and team through this?

Oh wait, of course you don't.

After all, it's all about you, Mr. Jefferson.

    Yep thats our boy!

Larry Burton is an illiterate piece of **** who makes Glenn Gilbeau looks like a Pulitzer winning writer. Being the most read SEC and Alabama writer at Bleacher Report is like being the prettiest girl at an all-boys school. He should keep his drivel in Touchdown Alabama Magazine and you should go with him for posting this ****.

Support your school's players or get the **** out.

So Burton finally found the quotes from Jefferson that have been debated here for a week already? Maybe instead of us reading his ramblings he should be here reading ours. At least he wouldn't be writing about yesterdays news.

What Burton says about Jordan Jefferson is dead on. I don't know much about other things he has written.

Allow me to break it down for you Mr Butthurtin.
    According to ESPN,
So you heard or read it through ESPN. I have seen some of the video associated with this media event and can say that most of the following is out of context. That plays well for you doesn't Larry?

This was a learning experience for me.I can't imagine anybody in the country going through more than I did.
What in the hell is all this learning experience crap? As I said out of context. Where did I get this? From the same source you are using, ESPN. Isn't convenient that you left that part out. Read those two sentences together and it would be less of a stretch for some to believe that he meant:
'I can't imagine what it would be like for someone to go through more than I did.'
As opposed to what you want your readers to believe he meant:
'Nobody has had to go through what I've had to endure.'
He said neither, but one or the other was what he meant to say. The video I saw, showed a young man being sincere and humble about his situation and explaining that he's ready to move forward in a positive direction with his team and in his personal life. I saw no signs of Jordan Jefferson fishing for sympathy or playing the woe is me card. Therefore I speculate that I'm right and that you're wrong.

But, I'm now wiser and more aware.
That is his opinion of himself and he is entitled to it. He didn't claim that he had or will soon achieve perfection.
God puts people in certain situations. I don't regret anything. Everything happened for a reason. I've learned a lot from this.
This is completely out of context. He was asked if he had any regrets. Jefferson said that he didn't regret what happened to him or what he had to go through and went on to say that he felt that God put him in that situation and that only God knows his destiny and is his sole judge (nobody else, not even himself). He wasn't asked if he regretted what his actions did to others and he didn't elaborate further.

Burton takes a couple of sentences out of some other reporters article and writes an opinion designed to stir people up - because that's how he makes his living - and you are impressed.

That's good to know; I'll keep that in mind in evaluating your future posts.
