Guess what ???? At work this is topic #1 JJ should do this JJ should say this JJ was out that night with just about the complete team. Not one fact is known about the fight or even if JJ was part of the fight. You can't have any facts because the BRPD has no facts. JJ is thinking that out of 50 guys he and Johns got fingered and took the fall for the team. He was the starter and now he is not the starter. He lost almost 1/2 of his senior year. Put you kid in JJ shoes and you tell me how he is supposed to feel ? I think JJ is saying what he feels and just let it go. JL is the starter and we have the Gators coming to town. I hope JJ comes in at some point and makes a great play to put the Tiger Nation all on the same page. We should all be glad he is back on the team.
Who cares what the media runs with. They can say whatever the hell they want...it sells ads and papers. What matters is what the team and coaches do. Jefferson can still be a leader on the team without "leading" the team. I see ZERO issues with what has been said by anyone on this team and what has been demonstrated on the field. There is no controversy...it's in the minds of the media and those who chose to be manipulated by them.
Of course this thing isn't about JJ or JL. Ths is about fan's perception. Also, of course JJ wants to start .. .they all want to start. JL, JJ, even Mett and Randle and Rivers would tell you their "goal" is to be the starter, and they will do everything they can to achieve that goal. It think this trailer on the FL preview pretty much sums the current situation up. "While Jarrett Lee has held down the fort for LSU, newly re-instated Jordan Jefferson has stated that he would like to start. Unfortunately for him, Lee has prove himself more than capable of leading the Tigers as he has thrown just one pick while leading an offense that has averaged nearly 40 points per game and has not won by fewer than 13 points. While LSU also started 5-0 last year, 3 of those wins were decided by 1 score." This has been echoed by CLM .. Lee's the starter. This doesn't mean that JJ should ride the pine with no opportunities to play. And as stated by others, if Lee gets hurt, JJ is experienced, and will be able to step right in. Mett will be on deck. Now ... let's go get that :crystal:
Some of this concern about JJ and his starter comments probably would not have resonated as much, had not JL struggled in the passing game as much as he did against KenTuck. Ware needs to get back on the field this week and Lee is going to have to start looking for secondary receivers in the passing game much more effectively.
I heard a Jefferson interview this morning, he said his goal is to become the starter, but until then, its whatever is best for the team Straight from JJ's Mouth
You just made my point for me. Thank You OBVIOUSLY - To the coaching staff, Which by the way ISNT YOU, he was the better man for the job and he did prove it, which is why he started. Are you serious, I am in a pipe dream. At least I am enjoying this season and number one ranking. I am not the one b!tching and complaining. If Lee doesn’t "pick up" against Florida "all is lost"??????? What kind of fan are you???? That is just pure ignorance to say that JJ adds nothing to this team and to speak as if Krags hasn’t improved him when you haven’t even seen him play. He improved Lee, and I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the coaching staff (Who are the experts, again, not YOU) to have improved JJ as well. Also, speaking of the coaching staff, obviously they saw something in JJ to declare him the starter before week 1. Would you have even watched LSU this year if Lee didn’t start?
Not saying that JJ should start over Lee, but by any chance do you know what our Pass offense is ranked right now?
