You've got to be freakin' kiddin' me...

What in God's name is "disappointing" in his comment? Would you feel the same way if JL made that comment the last two years?????

    Something stinks.

What made you think that this is the part I dont agree with JJ's quote? ...I didnt bold that out. "God puts people in certain situations." right, but maybe the reason is to have that person learn something from the incident. As for JJ, I still see the same old JJ, at least that's the impression I got from reading those quotes.

Not true at all. No LSU fan was happier than I was last week when the GJ rendered their decision, and when JJ was immediately reinstated.

However, someone needs to put a friggin gag order on the whole team when this situation pops up in interviews. Shut the frick up!!

I get that he wants/expects to be the starter again. I'm down with that line of thinking. I wouldn't want someone on my team unless that was their goal. I have no problem with that comment.

But if you don't think "I can't imagine anyone in the country going thru more than I've been thru" isn't an asinine statement, I don't know what to tell you. Yes...I understand he's a college football player, not a wordsmith. All the more reason to impose a gag order.

Then you have other players being interviewed, and asked questions about JJ. To a man so far, out of all the interviews I've heard/watched, every one of them referred to Jordan as "the leader". Tyrann Mathieu did it today on ESPiN. Now I understood what he meant...he was talking about Jordan leading the team through the offseason. But the SECOND that interview was over, the host went STRAIGHT to that half-quote and ran with it, saying LSU players consider Jordan Jefferson their leader. Within 30 seconds, the host had a QB controversy in Baton Rouge. PLAYERS...Shut the frick UP!! Just shut up!!

The only thing they should be answering questions about is Florida. Period. After that, they should answer questions about Tennessee. And so on, and so on. And for every question about Jordan Jefferson's return, they should either say "we're all really glad to have Jordan back", or they should say "Let's talk about Florida". That's it.

I heard jj's full interview for the first time today on 104.5 on my way home from work. Until then I had only read transcripts of parts of the interview. I have a change of heart to the way I perceive it now. The transcript made jj sound arrogant and defiant. In person he didn't sound like that at all. I was wrong and I apologize for my wrong interpretation of what was said. I should have listened to the entire interview myself instead of reading some reporters hand picked remarks. I called jj self centered and arrogant in his remarks and actually he sounded quite sincere and humbled. I was wrong and I was an ass.
With that being said, it still doesn't change that I think this team will revert back to last years poor offense with a two qb system. If not as dismal certinly not as potent as we were in the begining of the year. I didn't see the swaggar in jl during the Kentucky game that he had in earlier games when he was the man. I hope that he regains that edge and if he does and the offense snaps back from the kentucky down turn I will come back with my tail between my legs and admit that I was wrong.

Jj does seem like he was sincere in his want to be a part of the team and I feel that the way his words were reported did him a disservice. Because I failed to listen to the interview, only reading what someone else quoted, I did jj a disservice and for that I truly am sorry.

    THIS!!

And most of this thread is people dissecting the comments of a 22 year old college student like its a declaration speech of a Senator announcing a presidential run. He doesn't have a team of writers crafting every word. And a lot of what you are arguing about is edited text that could be out of context. We know as much about what Jefferson was expressing as we do about what happened in the parking lot that night. Just enough to assume ourselves into the moronoussphere.

Most of the hyperventilating is about alleged team chemistry problems and QB rifts on the team. Look up from the monitor and think about what you see on the sidelines, in the field, and in the media. I have not seen one spec of evidence to support most of the crap in this thread. Which is apparently about as much evidence the cops had that he committed a felony.

A year ago this week was the Tennessee game with the train wreck ending that worked out somehow to a win. Even at 5-0 Miles was being roasted and the fans were screaming that he was stupid but lucky. A year later he's 5 - 0, AGAIN, and some here are questioning his football team management decisions (stupid again) because of how he has handled this situation.

OK lets play a game, there are two sides and you have to pick one. You have to decide which side is 'Least Smart'. On one side we have the the coach responsible for the :LSU231: ranked football team that is 16 - 2 in the last two seasons; and on the other we have those that profess superior intelligence in football team management. Choose one!

NO HINTS NO HINTS . . . I know you I can do this. Can't you?

Fish, I agree that is what I would do, that is what most coaches would do, but that is not how Miles is, and that's not the way he runs his team. It works. Look at all the distractions going into the season - Krag, Shep, and JJ - all just weeks before the season. They deal with this crap head on and up front. And somehow it works. I don't get it, but it works.

Please Lord, NO!!! He'd be considered a good qb except for the <100 YPG passing, qb us to being the 100+ ranked offense in the land, the poor decision making, the windup to get the ball out of his hand, the poorly run option.

Read the THREAD, its disappointing because it gives fuel to fire of the "boo contingent" of the fan base. What blows is ESPN and the like leave off the part of doing what is best for the team. Miles even had to deal with it on College Football Live. The worst part is these quotes came from questions, but most of the time the quotes or omitted.
