They've since shown some other pictures of "Cristal" on the news up here--some actually with make-up. Those are better, of course, than the mugshot, but still...money in Dallas will buy a man pretty much any attractive (albeit artificial and superficial) woman he wants. Money talks LOUDLY in Big D.
That's exactly why I moved to Scottsdale instead of Dallas after I graduated. I cannot deal with those fake, money-grubbing women and don't get me started on the plethora of cougars....
hell thats what i loved about that place. it was like playing a game at the fair, "everyone's a winner" the game was too easy. i cant wait to move back to the d/fdub.
It's why none of my female friends are Dallas natives--none of them. When I moved up here, the Dallas women that I met (who'd grown up here) could only discuss hair, clothes, and make-up. It was boring. I made friends with other "transplanted" women, such as myself. A funny example of Dallas "society" women was when I attended a baby shower for a former co-worker, who'd joined Junior League because her husband was an attorney, so she felt she should. The JL women had bags and boxed gifts that had Neiman Marcus tags on them--only to open them up and have a $10 stuffed animal in there; I knew they were $10 because they were sold at Babies R'Us. Oh, and several of them, upon finding out that I work and am a mom, said, "I'm SO sorry!" Dallas women. Blech...
I used to live in Plano Texas, all the people there seem to have an air about them. They think they are special, even the ugly ones...
You lived in Plano? Where did you go to school? It's been where I've hung my hat for the past 12 years.
Well its being reported that this woman Cristal, made Dirk buy her a ring and he proposed to her on christmas day. She also didnt want to sign a pre nup which is what made Dirk's friends more suspicious of her. Dirk is the one who wanted the background check run on her by a private investigator. This woman was a con artist, and he was actually in love with her. Someone needs to school him on american women. Everyone knows that any girl that is named after a liquor is a stripper.
I only lived there in the summer. I actually lived in Addison, a lot of my friends went to Plano West or Frisco. Of course some people were cool, but there were a lot of snobs.
If he was so in love with her, then why did he need to have her investigated? Wouldn't his suspicions of her be enough to turn him off? This whole story is simply bizarre. And I can understand the prenup insistence with the amount of money he has, but how could he fall "that" in love with someone he had enough distrust for that he needed to have her investigated? All really weird...
