Great post! No excuses. Miles has lead us down to this, with no explanation. The NC game was something more than anyone may want to convey. Les has allot of explaining to do. He is not a God above us all. He can most certainly be replaced. To do that to his players, says little about the man. No matter what hat he wheres!
:geaux: First off, the purpose of posting the article was to generate conversation. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it. Second, posting the article isn't going to give Dildeaux any more or less incentive to write the crap he does. It's what he does and who he is. Most people know that and take what he writes with a grain of salt, or ignore it. Even you seem to realize that. But some people on here are going to agree with him and some won't. That's the whole idea, to see what people have to say about it. So before you come on here and start telling people what to post and what not to post, you need to remember that this is a FORUM / MESSAGE BOARD. It exists for people to talk, exchange ideas, discuss, gripe, bitch, etc. As such, there's always a possibility you might not like or agree with something someone says on here. If so, you can talk to them about it or take your own advice and ignore it. If that fails you can always GTFO and go away. Your choice. But DON'T come on here and try to tell people what they should or shouldn't post. That's not gonna fly on here Chief. :LSU231:
Well SonnyLoco you can skip all of my posts because I will be positive when there is something positive to say and I will be critical when it is called for. I don't look at life that everything is perfect because it isn't. Are things great at LSU and their football program YES, but can things be improved on YES. Anyway you want to slice it what happened was disappointing, does that mean we don't have a good class no it does not but considering The top 4 recruits in Louisiana by Rivals "Collins, Devall, Davis & Peters" all signed out of state and 6 of the top 10 and 4 of the top 5 signed out of state. Personally I have not seen a year like that in a long time. People can sugar coat that as much as you want but that is not the norm. In 2011 we signed 7 of the top 10 and all of the top 5 in state recruits. In 2010 again we signed 7 of the top 10 and 4 of the top 5 in state recruits. The year of 2009 we signed 6 of the top 10 and 4 of the top 5. So if you want to look at it simply on a comps basis "which of course if you look at previous posts they will all tell what a great job we did landing in state talent" this year we did not do what we have done in previous years and that is put a strangle hold on the top 10 talent. So was this our best performance, without a doubt 100% NO WAY. Did we fill needs hopefully so but the only way to get better at what we do is to be critical of what we have done!!!!! Fix the flaws so this does not happen again, and anyone who thinks we don't need to fix things and do a better job "when you are satisfied with your performance you are taking your first step back" So if you want to stick your head in the sand so you don't hear anything negative go ahead and do it all that does is expose your ass!!!
if I throw trash out the window, i hope you'd tell me that it would be better not to do that, but to put it in a trash can. same thing here. I'm not asking to not throw trash out, I'm just asking you to not throw trash out irresponsibly. you getting indignant about it is like a guy throwing his taco bell bag out the window and then getting upset that his friend suggests a more responsible way to deal with that taco bell bag.
Yes, Les Miles must explain a 13-1 season and finaly a year with not top 5 recruiting.... We are phucked...:thumb:
:geaux: I'm not indignant, I'm just telling you how it is Chief. When somebody post something on this board you have at least four choices. You can read it, ignore it, talk about it, or go the phuck away. Simple as that. You don't even have to like it or agree with it. But don't come on here with a holier than thou attitude and try to tell people what they can, can't or should post. That ain't your job. That's what the mods are for and as far as I know, you ain't one of them. My advice to you would be to tone down the message board police attitude and go with the flow. Life's a lot easier that way. Otherwise, folks can & will call you out on it. Have a great day. :thumb: :LSU231:
Yes he does! The President of the United States has to be accountable to the citizens. It is not only the right of the citizens to question their president, but their responsibility. Miles attitude of being above reproach is disturbing. It has cost us a chance to win another National title, a great recruiting class and my respect. I do believe that most average coaches could have taken the talent Miles has had, along with the coordinator's, and been just as productive. Gruden for coach!!!! Have a nice day!
SaintSlidell - Unfortunately some people like to stick their head in the sand so they don't hear or see anything negative. They feel like if they can't hear it or see it than it didn't happen.
You are attributing what YOU think Miles' attitude is. You have no idea what he is thinking and Miles has never displayed any attitude that I have ever remotely interpreted as being above reproach. However, I recognize that is MY interpretation and could be as far from the truth as anything. The point I'm trying to make is that none of us are in a position to make any claims that Miles feels that he above reproach. The underlying assumption to your argument is that an "average coach" would be able to recruit at the level Miles has. The NCAA graveyard is littered with successful NFL coaches that simply could not recruit well and ultimately failed. IMHO, I think fans that claim Miles is responsible for losing top recruits in the state can't also claim that any coach can come in and have talent out of the ying yang because kids all want to play at LSU.
okay..i know im about to get slammed for this but this is my opinion and my opinion only.... everyone is entitled to there own opinions about miles and the things that he has done, but i guess what i have a problem with is all the bashing of him that is going on. i remember the days when we sucked really bad and now things are different, hell we could be like ole miss or a program like that. as far as recruiting, we could be like texas, have so much talent in a state that gets its own talent and still does not compete for national championships or even bcs bowls. all im saying is he messed up, the players messed up in that one game and we lost, plain and simple. as far as recruits, some want to play for lsu and some dont, they are kids and they change there minds as much as we change our underwear. we cant get everyone and as far as the stars and rankings, i think its a bunch of horse****. you really dont know what a kid will do until they are in your program and develop. i guess what bothers me is the fact that so many people want his head on a platter for mistakes in that game, but its done and hopefully he will change what was wrong and hopefully the players learned from mistakes and will change and become better also. i dont comment alot on some of these threads because a person in particular comes on right after me and starts bull**** and i just dont need that stupid kind of drama. i like our class, it filled our needs and i think we will be a great football team and no matter what our record is, i will always love my tigers and the kids that play and the coaches. thats just me though...
