Saban is the Bill Parcells of the NCAA in my opinion. He will turn a program around and get them on the right foot. However he will only win 1 championship. (LSU, and parcells won 2 but who's counting) Nick is a great coach, and he is a defensive mastermind, and alabama will be a power in the SEC and in the country for years to come, i just dont see them getting a crystal ball. What LSU did was remarkable, and coming out of the SEC its just real hard. I really hope Florida can pull it out, because after listening to Tebow's press conference after the Ole Miss game, i really like that kid, he is a class act, and damn i wish he would have come here.

Now you got me wondering- how many freshmen in Miles' first class played their first year? Second?

Doubt it's as high as Bama this year but Bama was in dire straitghts so I guess it's hard to compare. Julio Jones is a freak though, everything he was billed and then some.

More than me:( less than Saban:bncry:. If the next two, three, four seasons are like this one (I don't expect that). It would not be worth it. I'm simply looking at Saban's track record as we know it.

The question is, how many had to? Not that many but it doesn't change the fact that our championship team from last year had three years of coaching under Miles and not Saban. The idea that these guys develop in a wind tunnel is silly.

I think Miles' renegotiated contract said he would be the highest paid coach in the SEC last year, so he should be making more than Saban now.

You do realize that Les' LSU contract was renegotiated last spring, paying him $3.751 million annually -- $1,000 more than Nick's 2008 salary of $3.75 million.

Regardless of the salary you dont judge "if someone's salary is worth it" by just wins and losses. The amount of money generated since he became coach is out of this world.

So is this season worth it? What is expected for $3.751 annually? :thumb:
