the 41-14 score board vs a bottom of the barrel Sun Belt team reflects the overall play of our team, it has nothing to do with whether one of our team units is looking poor or not. For ex, if our passing game went 7 for 21 with 1 or 2 INTS, and we still won 42-0 based on stellar rushing attack, special teams play and defense...would you be saying scoreboard like a freaking moron if I was pointing out that our passing game was subpar? quit being an idiot

In a game where the game is essentially over before it starts, you can't make all the normal judgments. North Texas is like an nfl preseason game, where as you know, conclusions are hard to draw. It's not like Sam Montgomery is suddenly lazy or mingo is slow now. It's that the game you were watching was essentially a practice game. Also thanks for reading my tebow posts.
I actually enjoy reading your posts, but this is no preseason game. this is the real deal. we lose it, our season is destroyed (remember Appy State v Michigan?). this is not the NFL. there are no preseason games...every game on a college football team's schedule is the real deal, like what the NFL experiences once preseason is over (it starts for real for the NFL tomorrow night...Giants v Cowboys...with college football, it is the real thing right from the start)
Tiger_fan, our D-line in the first quarter was nothing short of amazing. They simply stopped trying after it got to be 21-0. I know that's not the LSU defense we want to see, but they mailed in the rest of the game and still had decent stats doing it.
Plus that strong drive that UNT had against us late in the game was against our freshman LBs. They were the ones missing the tackles and letting them drive the length of the field. They need some work...

Let's try not to be completely delusional for a second you think a guy like Sam Montgomery was just simply mailing it in after he did squat all game and now has draft people writing stuff about him such as: "Montgomery looks much bigger and stronger and it showed in his push. Montgomery's lower half is thicker, which gives credence to his future as a 4-3 end. Montgomery didn't register on the score sheet, though, because he wasn't getting around the edge well. That's something to monitor going forward." do you think Montgomery is cool with his draft stock falling when miilions of dollars are at stake for him? also, the LSU coaches reported he got a lot heavier coming into this season so not good to hear draft guys talking about him being slow now ("not getting around the edge well") I know, I know, just one game, we have 11-13 left. let's hope they get their s-word together because we are going to be facing much much much much better lines than North Texas
