Did you think our D-line looked elite?

You don't take a start from a pre-season All-American without good reason. Radio said that Montgomery was "nicked".

That would make sense because he was not his usual, dominating self. I love me some Sonic Sam, but he was very much upstaged by the also-wonderful KeKe Mingo last night.

In all honesty, look at the first quarter of the game. LSU dominated. Then we stopped caring. They didn't get a first down in the entire first quarter, and we had what should have been two punt returns for TD's. All of the chinks in the armor will be fixed and we have plenty of time to fix them.

This team is the real deal and I extremely hope Bama is over confident when they come to Death Valley, I'd like some pay back.

Not from what I have heard but guys are always nicked. Sam was good to go and played in the 2nd-3rd series and much of the game. Heard last week that Edwards was going to get the start.

Doesn't really make sense to just not start someone if they are nicked but go right to them and let them play much of the game.

Not sure what the radio said last night but I know Wing was nicked with Hamstring.

OL has been nicked too and looked slow. They were not fired up and still won by 27. Need to light a fire next week.

I thought and still think that LSU's second string D-Line is the second best D-Line in the country.

For both Ol and DL, I see a lot of learning to play together as a unit in the very near future. They didn't play well, but I'm not too worried. I'm glad we don't play Bama next week though !!

I guarantee you that no NFL scout will agree with you that LSU's 2nd team D line is the 2nd best D line in the country.

Just go look at what the SEC coaches think...they put 13 DL on the preseason All-SEC team (4 1st team, 4 2nd team, 5 3rd team). Guess how many LSU DL made their top 13.... 2, same as Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida....and both Georgia and Florida run 3-DL fronts unlike the 4-DL fronts used by LSU and South Carolina
