Did you think our D-line looked elite?

I was hoping we had a top 5 to 10 D-line but I'm not so sure now after watching them vs N Texas. what did you guys think?

I have a feeling the voters will say that, but I don't think we should take anything as a matter of fact after one game. Especially THIS game. It's been a crazy week with the storm and all. It's not the same as playing a top 5 team in a national showcase game like last year. Easier to get up for that one. We played North Texas. Just went through a hectic week. New QB. I think the penalties will be improved on. I didn't see the game, so what do I know? I just hope our offensive coaching staff doesn't make the same mistakes over and over again. My biggest cause for concern is the same old horizontal passing game. Hope I'm wrong!

The defense seemed to be out of shape, they were sucking wind in the 2nd half.

I think the team as a whole comes around, and most of all Chief will get the kinks worked out on defense.

remember we substitute alot of players on the d-line. when the big boys are in, we are stout. I think the reason we are being so hard on them is because we don't have the badger and the seniors, and Mo we lost in secondary, making big plays. And the specials teams play, also aided and put points on the board, making us kind of give the offense a longer rope.

I'm much more concerned about the O-line that leaked like a sieve most of the night!

Montgomery was hurt and did not start, but no . . . I did not think that the DL played up to expectations. But they played far better than the offensive line, which has been pumped up as the best in years and deep, too.

Who was the other starter at DE(other than Mingo)? I don't remember them showing the starters on TV.

As for the DLine. I thought they looked good. Maybe not ELITE yet, but it's the first game and it was North Texas. I thought Mingo did look elite except for losing contain on a reverse. I'm also in love with Anthony Johnson.

D-Line looked great, when it mattered. They just looked like they let their foot off the gas and took too many plays off in the 2nd half. N Tex went hard every play

Awesome at run blocking, not sure what to think right now re pass blocking. Still needs some work; perhaps we can blame some of this on who we were playing.

Montgomery wasn't hurt. Miles just rewarded Edwards by letting him start. Sam played a lot.
