Did you know that 1/3rd of the SEC schools don't have private jets for the staff?

This comes as a SHOCK to me considering our staff has more than one available at any given opportunity.

    Kentucky gets their first....

Oh, come on tirk, that ridiculous. I've seen our staff visit 6-7 schools in a day, in more than one state, via the jet during recruiting seasons. And you say it isn't an advantage?

Private jets at times have limited abilities given inclement weather. The further the destination the harder it is sometimes to get there. Based on my experience, he with the fastest plane sometimes arrives last.

The schools may or may not have private jets, but the biggest advantage to having them was eliminated by the NCAA about 5 yrs ago. It is against NCAA rules to fly recruits in by private jet now. Thus trying to level out the playing field for those schools who can not afford or to use a private jet. In my opinion all that did was create more parity. Some of these small schools that can afford the use of privates, but are in remote areas having to have recruits drive 2-3 hrs from the major airports in their areas has in affect become a disadvantage.

I don't listen to the young man, don't really like his work. Just was giving my opinion of what I believe to be the case. Was my opinion when they made the rule.

i was listening to a podcast of his and thats what he was ranting about. a 3-4 hour drive in places like kansas from any airport.

im sure it is a downer to any recruit used to not having to wait for anything.

Both of you guys are ignoring the point. When you have a jet, the ability to visit several recruits (HC) in a day is an advantage.

Going by actual results seem to indicate that UK, as exampled, hasn't been able to bring in the top notch players because of their lack of abilities to visit a lot of locals.

I swear tirk, it seems you are disagreeing with this here just because it's me, not because of logic.
