It's kind of a waste when the quarterback rarely looks past his primary receiver. We could have receivers running open all over the field but it does us no good if the quarterback lacks the mental agility to go quickly to his secondary and tertiary receivers when the primary is covered. And too often he gets it off to the primary too slowly. Even the TD bomb was late and short. Randle was just so wide open that he could slow down and catch it. But he should have had it at full-stride on the 15 yard line when he was 8 yards ahead of the defender. Jefferson has a really good arm, if he could just think instantly and move quicker.
