I agree. Tua was impressive barely playing 3 quarters a game. He was a stone cold lock to win it all year and that isn't changing. But at least it's more interesting. I'll be glad Tua wins it bc the heisman jinx is the only hope.
We are probably having the same conversation about Jalen Hurts if Tua isn’t at Alabama. Tua didn’t even play in the 4th until the LSU game. Only test he faced all season was last night and he got taken out of the game due to injury. I think he is a wonderful qb but Alabama has essentially kicked the shit out of everyone except Georgia. Murray has played in close game after close game after close game in a league where your chances to win decrease exponentially if you don’t score on just about every drive.
I think Devon White is the most outstanding player in college football and should be celebrated as such. We need to GoFundMe a trophy, a Star made of football fabric and give it to him.
He had surgery. https://news.google.com/articles/CAIiEBuwnjyFh0mE_gL-y01S8ZkqFggEKg4IACoGCAow5tYTMODEAjCCuwQ?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US:en
I would say that in their case, a set of brass nuts would be appropriate, but what can we say? Every one scored more points against bammer than us, so back into the toy chest we go.
Every week Kyler had to be a superstar with how bad that OU defense is, and he always performed. That was not the same level of pressure on Tua. It hurts that in the biggest game of the year for Bama, he really struggled mightily. The kid was cast aside by Sumlin and the Ags in their quest to find the next Johnny Football, and he had to follow in the footsteps of Baker Mayfield in a sport that arguably isn't his best. It's an incredible story. It also highlights what coaching can do for a player and how much the situation matters -- Baker left TT and Kyler left aTm and both may well go back-to-back for the Heisman as a result.
