Based on stats you can make a good case for Murry, Haskins and Tua. But for all season Tus was considered the runaway front runner. He shouldn't lose it because he was having one mediocre game that he got hurt in on the last game of the season. Just like Leonard Fournette was the overwhelming favorite until he fell victim to the Elmer Fudd approach to offense.
Shit happens. It's ALL games. Murray could have had a crap game yesterday. He didn't. Last game is the same as first IMO. And I just can't be overwhelmingly impressed with Tua's stats against the likes of Louisville, Arkansas State, Louisiana RC, and The Citadel. Lastly, I don't look at him as losing it because I didn't see him as the pre-ordained winner. I was happy to hear yesterday that only 10% of Heisman voters had already cast their vote. Tua will still likely win but he shouldn't.
Just saw this.... Does bama win BECAUSE of Tua or Saban's program/process? Take Tua out, plug in Hurts, Murray is more valuable.
Tua will play in the NFL. Murray is only 5'10" and won't be impressive to the pro scouts but he is supposedly a great baseball player.
Charlie Ward won the Heisman in 1993 and wasn't even drafted by any NFL team but he was a forswt round pick of the New York Knicks. Look for Murray to do the same with MLB.
Murray already said he's going to play baseball. Mofugger played better at the QB position this year than Tua and did more to help his team.
If you project Tua's stats as having played whole games it's probably pretty equal. No question that Okie wouldn't be in the playoffs without Murray and Bama would still be there without Tua.
