Did anyone think Reid's pick would be overturned on replay?

    No, I never doubted it for a second. The more angles they showed and the more they slowed it down, the more apparent it became that it was indeed a pick. There sure as hell wasn't "inconclusive video evidence" that any other call should have been made. It was simply a ridiculous, ridiculous play by Reid. I'm glad they reviewed it so the rest of America could see how badass our secondary is.

    The moment Danielson said it wasn't getting overturned I knew we were good. There's not a chance in hell that Danielson would have given LSU benefit of doubt :)

    You may not have doubted it was the right call and I didn't either, but didn't you remember who we were playing and where? I remember '09, when I saw that replay, I said there's no way they're not going to give that pick to PP7 and we all know how that turned out.

    I thought something similar may happen on that play.

    See, I didn't. I even factored in the Tuscaloosa effect. But I figured, with the entire world watching and the PP7 pick still being talked about, there was no way they'd screw the pooch again.

    I was actually on the phone with a guy at work earlier who said that the ref who made the initial call was a bama grad. Can anyone verify this?

    Can't verify that, but if I'm not mistaken, it was the same crew that made the PP7 call on the field (I'm not sure if the replay official is the same), so that factored into it too.

    No!!!! I was to busy jumping up and down. That was one of the best defensive plays I have ever seen, especially with everything on the line. No Doubt he stripped the ball.

    yet they called wing's taunting.

    something that is pretty much black/white did/didnt is not called. but something subjective is called, and wing's td is the only one called back all year by anyone. (or was as of a week or so ago.)

    this is why i thought on replay the interception would be overturned. (even when the one camera angle showed it WAS an interception.) between that and the pp7 ruling, my faith in sec refs is about .0372%

    "Sequence of still photos." :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Memo to Bama fans: your guy bobbled the ball going to the ground, and was still bobbling it with one hand when Reid already got control of the ball with two hands on the ground. That's an interception. Even that enormous manifesto by Zemek he linked to assumes simultaneous possession occurred at any point in time. It didn't.
