Did anyone think Reid's pick would be overturned on replay?

I sure did. I just knew Bama was going to get that call. Bama fans are cryin about it, saying they were both on the ground when Reid took the ball away. They're wrong, but even if they weren't, it's PAYBACK for the PP7 pick that wasn't in '09.

I was asked what I thought and without bias I can tell you I thought the ball was already moving and leaving his possesion so therefore he never had a "catch" and the ball being pulled away into Reid's arms as he lay there on the 1 was a completed catch and interception... At least that's what me and my DVR said

When I saw the ball shift in the TE's hands, I knew it could not be overturned.

And remember it was called an interception thank God. So the onus was on the replay showing clearly that it was a catch for Bama.

They could have easily called that a catch by the officials initially. We would have been sunk.

I did until I saw the last angle. The last angle, back-camera is what saved the call for LSU. I am convinced of that. Reid took the ball before the receiver's back hit the ground, or, worst case, not enough to overturn. Goodnight now. :)

    That would be correct.

But it was the ball shifting that saved it. If the ball had not shifted and Reid taken the ball away as both hit the ground, they would have overturned it.

You must have forgotten where we were playing? :D I'm kidding of course, but the PP7 play was an obvious pick that we didn't get. IMO, Reid's play was closer than that, so I definitely thought there was a high degree of probability that it would be overturned.

Gumps are so infuriating. They keep talking about how 'another' questionable pick cost them the game against us. How easy they forget all of the questionable calls they've gotten in their favor over the years that have allowed them to win games that maybe they shouldn't have. That's why this one is SO sweet.

As for TM7, that was totally uncalled for and he should probably sit out the Western Kentucky game.

I was holding my breath on that one. Seems like it could have been called either way.

This is what happens when games are called fairly at Bama. The better team wins.

Of course no one mentions the dozen holding calls by Bama linemen that were missed...
