Around the end of the 3rd qtr. the local station up here went to some storm chasing mode and and didn't bring the game back for quite some time, and then when the game did make it back up we were in the 4th qtr. and they only brought up a qtr screen window with no game volume. Pissed alot of us off up here i'm guessing since their lines were off the hook for several hours after. Anyone else get screwed out of watching the end of the game?
We did in Dallas. They cut from the game at least 10 times for stupid weather updates. Then had a big map overlayed taking up a large part of the screen half the game. A little scroll bar at the bottom with sever weather warning is all that is necessary. Then, if I want to see the weather I turn it on.
I hear ya totally. Their doing it again now with the patriots/chargers game... and the sad part is their talking about weather that's no where near here just like last night.
Dallas CBS 11 feed was horrible. Constantly had the ticker below the CBS ticker making the screen distorted. And they had the radar on top of that blocking out a chunk of the remaining picture.
I saw every second if it. Here's what you missed: parts of the scheduled LSU football contest were periodically preempted by The Cam Newton Show. The plot was predictable and simplistic if you've seen earlier episodes. The protagonist is this really big, strong, fast guy runs over various SEC defenses pretty much at will and with virtual impunity. The bad guys were all skilled defensive specialists who are made to look really silly each time it happens again because they know he's gonna do it but are powerless to stop him. It got kind of boring because he kept doing the sane thing over and over exactly the same. The bad guys kept missing him. He prevailed in the end. I think it was a rerun. I didn't like it and I really hope it gets cancelled before next season starts.
