I would agree with this if it at least made it back to the line of scrimmage, but it lost about 7 yards which can kill a drive. I used to like the play that they ran with Deuce and Bush where they would hand Deuce the ball up the middle and keep the outside LB's, DE's, etc. from crashing down by having Reggie as a decoy around the end. Then maybe once or twice a game they would give it to Bush to keep the defense honest. It is similar to a style of play that Houston Nutt runs.

After the game, they showed his wife crying (true story).

I thought to myself, wow she is a Baskett-case.

Yeah, props to Baskett because he nearly folied it for us. The play was designed to be one of those where the lineman have left early and it's an easy steal of the ball by Reis. Didn't quite work out that way, but we still got the ball. Thank goodness.

I would much rather prefer the kick right up the middle that barely goes 10 yards and the special teams guys go and blow out anyone who is still there in the middle, creating a buffer/wall between the kicker and the opponent's special teams players and the kicker simply falls on the ball.

That's what I envisioned us doing, and when he kicked it left I was definitely worried as to whether it would work.

hmm wonder if we could modify that (make the arm longer) and sell it to the sado-masochist crowd.
