I don't know, those ESPN clowns on the clip make a good point. Bryant is entering the league as a controversial personality, but to this point, he's done everything right since being draft. Why attract negative attention to yourself by refusing to participate in a team/league/professional team sports tradition? Its only a matter of time (and not much time at that) before he takes the guy's job anyway, so why not show a little humility and team spirit now?

I still have nightmares of that jack ass and chris simms running up the sideline at the cotton bowl pointing at the LSU fans.

Good for him, yes, but he should still carry his bags. I would expect much worse for Dez from the other veterans in the next few weeks compared to just carrying bags. He needs to let his ego down a little bit and realize every rookie does this, he's no different.

Yeah, you're right. My previous stance was more of an FU to roy williams who is over paid and too full of himself. After realizing that it is tradition and bigger than either one of them I have jumped ship and think dez should carry the pads. I'm sure after he finds himself naked and suspended by duct tape from that billion dollar megatron in JerryWorld he will wish he had carried the pads anyway.

He needs to carry Demarkus Ware's bags. Roy Williams shouldn't be allowed to have any personal items in camp.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm the kind of guy that would welcome the opportunity to carry someone's shoulder pads off the field.....and right into the Men's room where I'd dump them on the floor of one of the stalls right next to the toilet..

I'd let them know right off I wasn't somebody's bitch.

Now when they asked me to sing the LSU fight song in the cafeteria, I'd sing it loud and proud and then make everyone else stand up while I sang the Alma Mater too!!

It isn't unusual for starters to not carry the bags of their backups...
