Not bent out of shape at all. We've disagreed a lot and you have called me out. No problem I'm not the most in the know, and realize my passion for lsu football gets me worked up. Just wouldnt want to see you on the same level as TigerTap. And I also realize we don't know each other and you may not give two shits about what I think. And although we are on opposite sides of the fence at times, you do have my respect as does Red.

I understand, but far from W/L controlling my life. Guess I'm just getting too old?

Some will never like the guy because he's not nick.

Never expected him to be nick, just want him to maintain the program, keep lsu among the upper tier of college football, and when the talent is there use it to its utmost potential, which will inevitably bring championships. With the talent available to him, it's not too much to ask to have a solid team in three aspects of the game, not just one.

LSUdad, question, how do you feel one or two losing seasons would effect the program? We know les isn't going anywhere, but I am of the opinion that two losing seasons would be too late to make a change. Maybe even just one losing season.

dont encourage me. it will only make things worse.

too late as in beyond repairable? couple of years and a lot of money can fix anything. just have to make the right hire if it happens. dont sweat the details. thats too far down the road either way.

we can however, worry about the awful qb situation in the meantime. thats going nowhere fast.

I suspect that's not the case for most of us. Failure to adapt and stubbornly resisting change were the two big factors for me.

How can you say this, everyone knows anyone can win at LSU, anyone can do what Les has done. Anyone can recruit, build a program, an as you said, maintain the program. If was so easy, Mike Archer, Curley, Gerry D should have done it. Richt has been at the same school, in the SEC longer that anyone, has he done more than Les?

Maintain a program, all too often I see teams that were once thought to never fall, have fallen. Right now Fla is looking for a coach. What are their odds? They have had two real good coaches since the 70's. Pell, Hall, Muschamp, Zook, Darnell and Dickey were all flops. Fla has made a few calls, only thing is a good coach at a good program want to stay right where he is. Bad coaches want to move. What Foley is looking for, the things he has outlined, narrows down his list. Or does he omit a few things?

Too late to make a change? Why, everyone knows all LSU has to do is make a call Jon Gruden, is still sitting by his phone.

Two losing seasons? Hasn't had one yet, but everyone keeps thinking he will, its called for every year.

I understand what people are saying, I'm not happy at what has went on this year, I'm sure the team and coaches feel the same way. An yes it is his job to correct the problem, even if he is the problem.

I acknowledge the fact it's not easy to find a program builder, maintainers are easier, and finding the next ex coach is the easiest. Alleva is not a guy who gives most fans a good feeling with making a hire. But if recruiting is not effected to the point where someone has to come in a repair the pipelines, lsu could bounce back more quickly.
