This guy is such a douche. He and the Yankees deserve each other.

Jeter is auditioning for his post baseball career in Hollywood. Part of the game though, he got away with it, i would have done the same thing.

But he screwed himself by admitting it. The umps will now likely feel that they've been shown up by DJ's antics, and good luck to him getting the benefit of any close call for the rest of this season.

Yet another reason to hate baseball - America's pansy sport.

i got no problem with him doing this.

it's no different than an outfielder selling the umps on a diving catch even though he trapped it.

Not like he could deny it. It is right there in the video that he completely faked the entire thing. The ball never even touched him.

So anything goes as long as the officials don't see it? Is it ok if the first baseman trips the runner going to second if the ump is looking the other direction? Corked bats are fine if you can get away with it? This is the same mentality that led to wide spread steroid use. The league doesn't test so lets go nuts. Integrity matters. That's a every level and the "everyone else is doing it" excuse didn't fly when we were 7 so it certainly doesn't fly with those supposed to be professionals. Just because you get away with cheating doesn't make it OK.

Please see my everyone else is doing it comment.
