Dooley always had his team ready to compete - and he should be a fine fit at Tenn. I'm glad to see him get this opportunity.

I'm tickled by the entire series of changes!

    TT goes to TT

    Carroll goes AWAY

Kiffen out of SEC to a team we already hate, and now can hate twice as much

Tennessee gets a good guy. I'm no fan of the Vols, but they deserved better than that idiot they just "lost".

All in all, a fun off-season so far.

And we can now turn to the recruiting wars! :geaux:

Helmet slaps are encouraging and normal in football even on the Pee Wee level.

He makes a ton of reference to coach Saban. Does he know where he is? No way that's going down with either fan base. I can't imagine a kinder gentler rivalry.

What's next LSU throwing Bama a NC parade in downtown BR?

I think you're taking more note to it than most..

That said, you can tell he worked with him.

Feels a little like a rebuilding hire. Will be interesting to see how his staff fills out. He's definitely got some great "breeding", but coaching hungry 1 and 2 stars at LA Tech is not the same as handling the Vols roster. And he's about to step into a political sphere quite unlike the scene in Ruston.

I think he's likely to be a great BCS-level HC. I wonder how many years it's going to take, though.

It's obvious he has a man crush on his mentor. Probably going to invite each other to their football camps. Could this be a portent of things to come?

Think about it, how well does CNS and CLM really know each other?

Dooley is the new head coach at Tennessee not LSU, that's in Knoxville not Baton Rouge.

It was a metaphor for a strange coaching situation.

Besides, you don't think it could happen?

If invited we might show up.

You're welcome to come party any time. I wouldn't come wearing crimson and shouting cheers about laundry detergent and toilet paper though.:thumb:

Yeah, I just saw that was the same response that the guy who posted that clip on the other forum I was reading got.

I thought people would like seeing that. Les Miles gets a lot of criticism here because people don't see him getting on players that screw up (although I'm sure he does).

As for myself, I've done worse than that to players I coached, and the coaches I had as a player did worse than that as well.
