Pick 6 leads to fan favorite... Quinn starts against a pretty beat up Bronco Defense. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2008/11/november_surprise_browns_shift.html
I hate Notre Dame, but I would like to see him do well. Anderson sucked at Oregon State and had a lucky season last year. I knew he'd be a one year wonder.
i would imagine DA is on the list of top ten pac-10 passers of all time. he put up some lofty numbers. similar to his teammate brady quinn, who also did so against questionable competition. although DA did drill BQ's team in an Insight Bowl or something. not the brightest guy, though.
Maybe so, but it doesn't take much to put up gaudy numbers in the Pac-10. Look at his INTs. Watching the guy, he did not come across as a very smart QB in my opinion. 2001 - 17/41 263 41.5% 1 TD 3 INT 2002 - 211/449 3313 47.0% 25 TDs 13 INTs 2003 - 261/509 4058 51.3% 24 TDs 24 INTs 2004 - 279/515 3615 54.2% 29 TDs 17 INTs Maybe instead of sucked, I should have said very mediocre and inconsistent. Ryan Leaf put up good numbers in the Pac-10 too. Any half-way decent QB in that conference could (Ryan Leaf, Cade Mcnown, Justin Vedder, Brock Huard, Kyle Boller, etc).
How convenient you leave out John Elway, Troy Aikman, Drew Bledsoe, Carson Palmer and the countless others I know I forgot.
Yeah, other than Carson Palmer, you pull from a list of retirees. Nice. Times have changed. The Pac-10 was a different conference then.
Ryan Leaf is a retiree. and most of the folk on your list do not play anymore either, so what's your point?
Man, you guys left out Aaron Rodgers, Brunell, Cassell, Kellen Clemens, Trent Edwards, Harrington, Leinart.
Ugh. The guys you referenced played in a different era of football when the Pac-10 was actually respected, and rightfully so, for the most part. The guys I referenced played in the modern era of the Pac-10 and most of which have all flaked out. The guys you offered retired after steady careers in the NFL. The others fell out shortly after entering the league.
