I just hope players will step up and take the lead so we'll be ready for the start on the season. Playing our first game on the road at Washington followed one week later at home against Vandy will be a tough start to the season.

We have a great opportunity to get off to a good start but could easily find ourselves in trouble if we can't determine the starters early.

Washington was 0-12 but hired Steve Sarkisian as their head coach.

Vanderbilt finished 6-6 and won their bowl game.

On paper, LSU should start 2-0 then play ULL in Baton Rouge before heading to Starkville.

Hopefully we won't have to contend with another hurricane before playing back to back against Georgia & Florida. (Maybe both will be playing with new QBs)

If you're talking about Chad Jones (rather than Phelon), he definitely played vs GT.

I just read a game review and it mentions that McCray did play, but didn't mention what position - either FS or nickelback.

:geaux: For Parso, what about Tim Molton in the mix at WR? What's the scoop on him? :LSU231:

It wasn't addressed to me, but I'll take it anyway.

I think Molton will be a lot like Ricky Dixon and was just a guy they brought in to make sure that the team got the QB they wanted.

:geaux: Appreciate the feedback. I thought he might be a factor at WR next season. :LSU231:

Our depth at WR is going to be scary good - there are just a ton of guys there vying for PT.

I'm not sure what we'll end up with in this year's class, but it will be between 3 & 4 top notch guys (counting Calhoun at WR since I think he starts off there this Spring). Plus Benton will hopefully be coming in as well.

Last year's class included Molton, Peterson, J. Taylor & Chris Tolliver. Of those guys, I've heard the most good things about Peterson - the coaches are very high on him, and he's the only one that didn't redshirt this year.

Molton needed a lot of work in the weightroom this year, and I haven't heard anything about his progress.

He's a not-so-good route runner. And like you said, he wasn't exactly the strongest kid in the locker room.

He will have an uphill battle to catch the thoroughbreds in the depth chart.

He is a great athlete, though, so who knows?

I heard that the coaches really liked his athleticism & ability to make precise cuts to gain separation (like LaFell), which is why we offered.

I am pretty sure we could have gotten Jefferson without Molton - we didn't offer Jefferson's RB (who has been good for Arkansas this year at Safety).
