    Not to liberals! Greenpeace and The Sierra Club and Move-On don't mind being called liberals at all. It carries a negative connotation to conservatives for sure, but I must point out that in liberal circles, "conservative" is tossed out as an epithet. Moderates simply think it's a mischaracterization of their position.

    You're wrong. Of course any word with a negative connotation is embraced by some but overall the word "liberal" has a negative connotation. I'm amazed you dispute that but whatever.

    i dispute that as well. i know lots of liberals, they are not particularly ashamed of it. it has negative connotations to you, but not everyone else. it depends on who you hang out with dude. among my people, "christian" is an insult that is synonymous with dumbass.

    Can someone clarify something for me. I'll put this in very simple terms.

    Obama wants people to have insurance and wants to help those that are poor do it.

    But if you do have it, and have to good of it. They want to tax you for it....
