It's weird people say that. And this is more directed to the dude who started this thread and less toward you. But Byrd imo was way, way overrated last year anyway. Yes, he made plays. But he just was so memorable because he made the HUGE plays. 2007: 35 catches 621 yards 7 TDs 2008: 28 catches 427 yards 4 TDs so statistically there isn't THAT much of a drop off. He just hasn't made the game winners so far.
Once Byrd gets to the combine he will be fine. He runs great routes, has great hands and is elusive after the catch. He should test well, and NFL coaches have enough fim on him to know that his senior year was altered by bad QB play...not due to a lack of skills on Byrds behalf.
