I just want to thank Mr. Bryd for coming on board in 07 and being an integral part of our national championship run. Without him, we never get there and win it.

How many times he has been wide open and Lee has his sights set on LaFell or whomever else the play called to throw to we will never know.

Obviously Byrd has not been the same Byrd as last season. No chemistry between Lee and Bryd for whatever reason.

    Chemistry?

To recap, it's attitude, it's performance, it's dropped passes, it's Facebook status updates, it's newspaper quotes, and it's altercations with the coaches.

    :nope:

Yeah, listening to Hawthorne, he would say that Lee overthrew Byrd or threw behind him. LaFell has been Lee's lock-on target, and when Lee's not throwing picks, LaFell is getting the grabs. If Lee would survey the field, Byrd would be more involved.

Well you know more than us, obviously.

    I guess.

He certainly has not had the kind of year that was expected of him at the beginning of the season.

Yeah, a lot of people were saying he was a possible first round pick. Now, Lafell is the guy who is in the top 10 WR class, and Byrd is nowhere close. Kinda sad.

Well, he'll always have Auburn '07. I still don't know how he made that catch.

But I'm sure glad he did!

Lee never throws to him. That pretty much sums that up. When he does it usually isn't in the same zip code that Byrd's route is in. That happens when your QB is playing awful. Lee mostly just looks at Lafell on every play. I can absolutely guarantee you that he's dropped less passes than any other LSU receivers. He still had our only TD catch last week against #1 Bama and had a huge one in our win against Auburn. The dropoff has been pretty huge. But so has the QB play...
