    From DandyDon:

LSU will not have any recruits in for officials visits that I know of, and only a hand full of recruits will be in for unofficial visits this weekend. Highly-touted Blue Chip wide receiver Terrance Tolliver from Hemstead, Texas, will be making the trip to LSU with his uncle Harvey Williams, according to a long distance phone call I received from a person who reads my page. Demetrius Byrd, the No. 1 junior college wide receiver in the nation, will be making an unofficial visit to watch the Tigers defeat the Rebels. Several highly recruited in-state players will be attending the game at their own expense including Drake Nevis and Chad Jones.

hahaha, this was my very first impression based on a couple of reviews I'd heard at the time. Don't worry, I changed my tune.

    "Byrd is a Tiger!

A WR from JUCO, a 5 star according to Scout & 3 star according to Rivals. The only reason Rivals has him as a 3 star is because they haven't paid much attention to him.

This guy is going to be good, very good - amazing speed, good route running, solid hands, good blocking. He'll be an immediate impact player for us."

This is why I don't think that much of Rivals rankings. They sure seem to miss alot of good players just because they are not highly recruited by USC or ND.

I think the class we have sign so far this year for the most part should be higher ranked, but that's another story.
