I get that and I think everyone does to some extent. The problem is a decision has to be made and the two sides happiness are mutually exclusive at this point. I think what they offered was a reasonable compromise and should not be expected to do more. That's my position. You can't bring up a topic then tell people they wouldn't think the way they do if they had your perspective and then not give your own position.
I didn't bring it up. This isn't my thread. And all I said was you may not see it as back and white if it was someone that was related to you. I don't have to take a position on anything. I don't know what's right here and I'm not going to say this is or that is when I don't know. And my statement about you would all feel different if this was someone you cared about was directed at the "dude with a dick" statement, not the outcome or decision made.
Okay, that makes more sense. You both have minions as avatars. My brain processed them as the same. Regardless, I'm curious as to what you would do here. Something has to be done right?
It's a tough question. I would think separate facilities being made would be the answer. I hate to say like the handicap accessible bathrooms and whatnot but something like that. I don't think putting a trans person in a locker room with males is a good idea at all. Do you remember what the locker room was like? I sure as hell do and it's no place for someone different. I just don't know, I wish I did.
Some guys were pretty good at popping you with a rolled up wet towel on your naked butt. I haven't seen a case of it since Renee Richards wanted to play on the women's tennis circuit but it's a bad idea to allow male to female trannies to participate in women's sports. Richards was in her 30's before she got to play what if a 20 year old with the talent of a Roger Federer wanted to become a woman? He would totally dominate. Track & field, swimming, volleyball? Fageddaboudit. Real women wouldn't stand a chance.
