Tigerbait.com is reporting that Delino Deshields, Jr. is an LSU commit. His dad played MLB and his son plays both baseball and football. Is this guy just a baseball prospect for LSU, or is he a two sport guy? Anyone know?
I remember his dad when he played for the Expos. He had the socks that came up to his knees, and was a pretty solid lead off hitter and threat to steal bases.
I don't know a thing about him, but I remember when Delino, Marquis Grissom, and Larry Walker were rookies with the expos.

I thought his dad also played for the Cubs so I quickly searched the internet. I found this on Wikipedia... His son Delino DeShields Jr. plays football and baseball at Woodward Academy in College Park, Georgia. He is currently a national recruit and one of the top high school running backs in the state of Georgia.[3]

Strictly baseball recruit as of now for the Centerfield position but it seemed like playing both sports was important to him earlier last year. Baseball took a front seat toward the end of last year. He was a 3* RB last year. He had offers for football from Ole Miss, Stanford, UConn, UCF, and GT. Said he had interest from Bama, etc... but never mentioned LSU from what I have seen. He said if he doesn't get the money he wants he will be here but I have no idea what his draft projections are or what figure he is hoping to land.
