We're not going after Tillman anymore. He's got "character" issues.

I know our coaching staff really hopes to land another DT in this class, but I don't see us getting one.

Of all the 4-5 star players left that everyone is always looking for...it appears Benton and Edwards may be the only ones that look good for LSU....im sure we will land a surprise before signing day but I wouldnt hold my breath.

So, you're figuring a really stong finish and highly ranked class? Just curious what the people who follow recruiting closely think, I don't follow recruiting as close as a lot of you here do.

I'm not saying we land a bunch of 5 stars, but we'll finish strong & end ranked in the top 10.

Top ten this year, and isn't it a down year for talent in the state? and next years class is supposed to be loaded, from what i'm hearing.

Future's so bright, I gotta where shades!!

La's talent isn't "down" so much as it doesn't have that top level talent like last year with Chad Jones & McKnight. Rivals really has done a poor job evaluating the state.

'09 should be a special class.

Ok, more Dandy Don post for fodder... This is what he lists today as our primary non-LA targets... he's still optimistic for the last minute run at some top out of state talent... Anyone got better news?

Other recruits Les Miles is recruiting that I know of are: Moses McCray (DT, 6'2", 280) from Tampa Florida, linebacker Larentee McCray from the Miami area, and two defensive backs, Patrick Johnson from Pompano Beach and T. J. Byrant from Tallahassee. Also, LSU is still very much in the mix for offensive lineman Matt Patchan from Miami and Antoine McClain from Anniston, Alabama. I believe LSU's chances are better than 50 percent with both of the McCrays and T. J. Byrant and close to 50 percent with Patchan and McClain.

It'll be quiet I take for a little while until after the bowl games?
