Overall, I thought the offense played fairly well. ST not bad. But my goodness this looks like the second coming of Lou Tepper.

477 yards against a team that averaged 240 in one of the weakest conferences in the nation.

I do remember after Bo Pelini's first 3 games we were calling him Tepper-lini. He became one of the best DC's ever to coach the purple and gold.

So Big Chief, get your act together or it could be an ugly ride for you in Tigerland.

I'll take the win but we've got some work to do.

Don't count out Vandy next week. They dropped 45 on little sisters of the poor today.

3rd and long killed us... like last year.

Huge plays on 3rd and long.

The first and second half were like night and day. That little tailback for Washington is a slippery fella...

    C-

Too many conversions on 3rd down. Washington looked good, though. it scares me that if Jake Locker can do that what pharoah tebow can do

The most difficult thing to watch was how close we were getting from stuffing them in the backfield. We would have guys literally inches from making the tackles, only to let polk slip outside. This happened a lot. They looked like they were at least in position, but just couldn't close the deal.

Lots of arm tackles broken, too, especially early in the game.

The arm tackles killed us along with the pass defense. I wasnt to impressed with the offensive line either. Little ole' Washington was better than thought. I hope Chavis gets things going, it looked a lot like last year.

Wasn't giving up too many 3rd down conversions at Tennessee last year one of the things that drove the Tennessee fans nuts???

I really hope this is not going to be a recurring theme:dis:

I'm still in "wait and see" mode. New coaches...new coordinator...new schemes, etc. probably takes a while to get fully implemented and understood..

Last night did show me that LSU definitely has enough athletes to have a much improved Defense this year
