I can't remember anyone changing sides of the ball from the player's junior season heading into his senior season. That kinda thing would have to happen in the first year or 2. I am fairly certain CParso was alluding to the changeover.
Anybody think Alexander could be a force next year if he indeed gets his 6th year of eligibility? I did not seem him do much last year.
He plays too high. He stands straight up and starts hand fighting with the OL. He doesn't stay low and get any leverage. He is fairly tall and that doesn't help his technique either.
Won't change positions for multiple reasons - it is too late in his college career, he hasn't performed poorly at DT, and he projects too well at DT for the NFL.
Perhaps the Def. will be the flip of this year next season. The d-line was suppose to dominate this year and didn't. Hopefully, with lower expectations, and new coaches, they will rise to the occasion and be the surprise of next year.
DD posted this link to a good opinion piece that talks about expectations for the 2009 Tigers. It mentions that the d-line may be better than expected, FWIW. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/109337-16-reasons-to-fear-lsu-and-the-hat-in-2009
