Anyone else think our defense was over-rated all season? I mean it's like we left all the blitz packages in the locker room. When we won the NC it seemed like that defense was what all this hype tried to make this years defense out to be. We hardly put any preasure on any QB this year. I can think of numerous occasions when we should of been blitzing this year. We didn't. Time for some changes. No question we got the best talent in the country. Time to bring in someone willing to use it. thoughts?
I will have to agree, we were on a strecth where the starting QB was not finishing the game and today i do not think they even touched the QB. He sat back there calm and converted several 3rd downs, not sure why Pelini did not blitz more maybe no trust with the secondary but if you hit the QB a few times to set the tempo then on them 3rd down passes he has some different thoughts in his head, instead looks like they are setting the tempo on us. Another thing seems to be missing is the BIG hits we have be used to seeing there has not been that many this year not putting the fear in the other team letting them be to comfortable
