Wasn't thrilled with the hire and haven't been thrilled with the results, but I still think it's too early to throw in the towel on him. Peveto is a different story, I'm still surprised he was rehired after sucking the first time he was here.
What's going to happen when LSU plays a good offense? Let's face it, we are giving up 22 a game to teams that aren't very good on offense. We've played Dak, I'll concede that, but the other 3 teams we have played were a bunch of nobodies, including a guy from the Police Academy. Another has been benched already and the guy last night, hell his own mother probably doesn't know who he is.
It's a little early, but the D has been ho hum. That coupled with a ho hum reputation is a step down from where we're accustomed to being (though Chief seemed to be losing some of his pep as time went on). We still got the meat of our schedule in front of us.
I agree, it could be real trouble against 4 or 5 teams still on the schedule. However I'd like to see what his D looks like next season with hopefully better DL and LB recruiting before I start calling for his head.
and this season against those more formidable teams. I suspect we will step up our play this season when needed.
If you can't step it up against lesser competition it's going to be hard to do it against better competition. I think/hope they continue to improve, but there is a long way to go and a short time to get there.
That's what Miles said after the game. That this team will play harder against tougher competition. Can you believe that?
Dude I'm so pumped for the new Star Wars movie. These last few months are going to be torture. My wife bought me a stormtrooper helmet last week, it's one you can design yourself, of course I'm making it an LSU stormtrooper helmet to go in the mancave.
