Congrats to the LSU defense for pulling their heads out of their butts and shutting out SC in the second half, but let's not get carried away thinking that SC has a powerful offense. SC's offense has been pathetic, and LSU played in the second half how they should have played all game.

UGA and Bama will be much different, especially since their offense has been far more impressive that SC's.

LSU HAS to quit letting teams start off so quickly while they start off so slowly.

    This no one can dispute.

Auburn, Florida and now SC got a gift 7 points from Lee.

    That has to end.

We did sort of suck in the first half (even though I think we stuffed them at the endzone!). BUT....we were awesome in the 2nd half. GREAT adjustments from the coaches! They turned them loose and the QB couldn't do anything. By the way, Alem is BADAZZ.

Yes - he had a GREAT game - he is really FAST off the ball, isn't he?

Looking forward to seeing more of him. :geaux:

What concerns me is the inability of the defensive line to stop the run in the first half, although it did extremely well in the second half. I wonder if adjustments were made or did they just play better.

They DEFINITELY sent the house more. NO DOUBT! And it worked. We played the ball sometimes too (Taylor with the INT.).

I wonder if the defense was not as prepared to stop Garcia running down the side in the first half. In the second half they got him pretty much contained in the middle rendering him ineffective. Their great receiver Mckinley made some good catches that bailed the QB out.
