IMO this program cannot wait for Jarrett Lee to develop into a Div I QB. 13-34 with 4ints and yet another pick 6.:nope: PLEASE Les play JJ. There is a fine line between stubborn and stupid. :insane:
Congratulations. The defense lost us the 1st two games against Florida and Georgia. I'm sure the coaches feel Jefferson would give us the better chance to win but they decided to play Lee anyway because our coaches love losing.
I think Lee lost the UGA game. Lee gave UGA 14 points. UF is just a much better football team. we could have had Brett Farve and still lost that game.
Even with the 14 from Lee's INTs, the LSU offense still scored 38 pints. There is absolutely no reason, EVER, for LSU to score 38 at home and still lose. Thats ALL on the defense.
I wouldn't say ALL on the defense. Lee's pick sixes are emotionally draining for the team and crowd. After the pick sixes against UGA, and today against ALA, we typically go about a quarter and a half before we start flowing again. In the meantime, the defense is on the field a lot, particularly against UGA. Besides Lee's pick sixes, I question some of CGCs play calling at pivotal moments that do not sustain momentum sometimes, again putting stress on the defense. I agree the defense played their poorest games against UGA and UF, but heck, give those teams some credit - last I heard they were pretty good. ALA was beatable tonight, and we really had a chance in that one, but that is how things go in the SEC. The defense is what kept us in this game. Lee, however, has been consistently bad, minus the second half against that quality team we did manage to come back and beat, mighty AUB - how is AUB doing anyway???
i could live with jarett lee...... before tonight. the other losses you could really blame on the defense for giving up so many points, but this one is squarely on lee's back. if we had a semi capable quarter back in this game we win. i really have to take a hats off to the entire team (except colt david, and jarett lee...oh and chris mitchell) everyone else left it on the field and played inspiring football, especially the offensive line and the secondary. the d-line played solid as well, welcome back guys. This one hurt, we must win out, no more bull****.
if any of the 6 guys that got their hands on Moreno, I don't know, tackled the guy on either of his long runs, LSU wins. If Jai Eugene had considered it a good idea to possibly cover AJ Green, LSU wins. If the LBs don't completely evacuate the middle of the field, Stafford doesn't walt in for a TD, and LSU wins. The D got freaking torched. We made UGA's offense look like last year's Patriots team.
