i would love someone to ask miles about this at his radio show or one of the press on a monday. it's become my least favorite thing about this team.
it does look bad but i think the players deserve some leeway here. particularly DL because of the nature of their play. they have to get fired up just to get there and Alem being animated for a few seconds afterward is part of that. i have more of a problem with Scott and Williams smiling at each other after one of Williams big runs very late. there should be no smiling at that point.
LSU has size speed depth and experience on DL. UGA has size on OL. their very young OL lost their best player this season then lost his backup and top two TEs (i believe). its difficult to imagine an OL being good with youth and inexperience.
Buddy Songy said last week that Miles was asked about this after the Florida game, and Miles said he didn't notice any of it.
Kind of makes we wonder what else Les isn't noticing? I can understand perhaps missing a live occurrence, but he's certainly got to be seeing it when he watches the film.
that's disheartening b/c has HAS to notice it. he's just not acknowledging it at least not to the public.
I can see two interpretations......one they are a bunch of overhyped, poorly coached 18-20 yr old egomaniacs who don't grasp the concept of team and value the characteristic of class or..... they are a bunch of poorly coached 18-20 yr old kids who are frustrated by their lack of accomplishment and get a chance to express some enthusiasm for the success they were otherwise expecting but not experiencing and because of that their behavior doesn't match the circumstances......it does happen. Kind of the like the moderately frustrated businessman who makes an unappropriate dig at his wife at a cocktail party.....or an otherwise kindhearted sister that passes judgement on a furniture arrangement or the behavior of the kids to the detriment and horror of all within earshot.... come on folks, everyone has their bad moments. The rest of us are just lucky they don't happen in front of 90,000 people and a nationwide television audience to notice it. Relax, and tomorrow be sure to let someone else in during traffic.....or open a door....or complement a co-worker on a good job.....and bring the delicate balance of class in the universe back into the razor thin equilibrium that was disturbed this past saturday..... and then go have a good hard laugh at yourself :tigereye:
