We blew a nice lead against Arky this year, and Kentucky last year. Miles was making sure that his team didn't lose this ball game. We needed this win and he made sure we got it. Teams come back from major deficits all the time (see Troy @ LSU 2008), especially strong teams with a lot of heart. Lastly, Miles was getting a few more "game-reps" for his young QB. Folks from GaTech should stop whinning. It's not all LSU's fault they got beat by 35 pts. They had something to do with it too. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I think Les Miles' first SEC game against Tennessee in 2005 in which LSU had the game in the bag and played "gentlemanly" in the second half and lost made a lasting impression on him. So did the chop block on Dorsey by Auburn last year... CLM can go from calm to ruthless in 1or2 seconds when you try to maim one of his players. Got to love him for that. CLM's comments about Auburn's deliberate attempt to take Dorsey out after the game really contained a veiled threat ("We reviewed the film, they said it was an accident,we'll have to take them for their word"). Dorsey's future career could have easily ended right there. Can you imagine if AU tried that stuff this year? Ga. Tech tried it this year, the announcers just didn't pick up on it at all.
Yes, its been a couple of different places over the years. Its Bonnie Bell's Bistro presently although the are relocating to Jefferson Street.
And Auburn did it with 16 yards total offense in the second half. No surrender. I would love to win the NC in the "Bowden-Osborne Memorial Blowout" (BOMB) index sometime. GEAUX TIGERS
There was also a really late hit on Jefferson on that fake punt drive, if i remember correctly. I do remember saying after that late hit..."keep throwing it deep."
