So how is Cam Newton looking? Is he the real deal or what?

Let's say Trotter isn't finished making a statement yet. Cam still looks to be the starter, but from what I hear Trotter is more than holding his own.

    agree, Deceks...

Newton led two solid scoring drives in yesterday's scrimmage but is clearly not there yet. If it weren't for his legs, he might not even be #1. Trotter has looked crisp throwing the ball, an area that Newton has struggled with (accuracy).

Caudle throws a beautiful pass and uses good footwork, but his penchant for throwing them to the bad guys has continued for some reason.

I believe Newton is rushing his throwing motion and is accustomed to having more time to setup ... IMO, he'll get more comfortable as his snaps increase starting next week.

Trotter is the stalking horse .... and I believe he'll make up a lot of ground as he gets healthier. JMO, but BT still looks a bit tentative .... something that also should improve as he will get healthier with time. Following my knee surgury, I will always remember that I was physically healthy long before I became "mentally" healthy about the injury. It took awhile before I mentally trusted the repair. But it eventually clicked, as it likely will for Trotter.
