you should learn that you dont have to have socioeconomic class insecurity. if you are not rich it doesnt mean you should have low self-esteem. i know lots of people that dont have much money and they are pretty cool. in fact there is very little correlation between how rich someone is and how awesome they are. i have found that most people that are really awesome are just kinda financially stable and thats about it, not super rich. so you donbt have to be jealous and full of hate for the rich. thats what will get you played, by power-grubbing politicians attacking you and using your insecurities against you.

 

It appears a deal may occur today. I don't believe it cuts enough spending but it's a lot better than the alternative had Pelosi still been in charge of the House.

I hope this is just the first round. Entitlement programs are out of control and much of the discretionary spending has been proven to be wasted.

I hope some of the money remains on the sidelines for awhile longer. I don't want this issue to end without additional cuts. We all live on a budget and our elected officials should do the same.

The days of the "blank check" should end. We also need to force them to live by the same health care and retirement systems we use. This special treatment should end. Wasted money/resources (e.g.: Pelosi using military aircraft as a private jet) also needs to end. We need to stop the carbon credit / manmade global warming hoax before they find a way to waste another trillion dollars.

You can't keep them scared if you keep re-electing them. Reid and Pelosi being re-elected were really bad for America!

I hope Pelosi suffers a fatal reaction to her next round of Botox injections. She wants absolutely NO cuts. How out of touch can one person be?

 

That chart is total dog-****. You really believe that Obamacare only cost 152 billion dollars? It's trillions of dollars alone. And Obama could have pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan like he promised he would, but he chose to stay so the spending on those wars are his as well.

You're trying to compare the growth of government under one azzhole president to another. Real republicans were sick of Bush in his first term due to his constant attempt at being a "compassionate" conservative and his government growth and spending. McCain too which is why Obama won. The republican base was completely disenfranchised with the republican party.

The Tea Party is the ONLY REASON any spending cuts will occur at all with this debt raise. If not for the Tea Party it would be business as usual with these azzholes spending trillions more and sending us deeper into debt.

I am just not that much of a cynic. Wall Street has been saying a $4 trillion cut in spending would go a long way toward salvaging the AAA rating. The decision to downgrade the rating or not will not be based on the kind of political cynicism evident in your response. It will be based largely on economic factors.
