If TS has lost anything, it is because of the fans, not the players. We slumped in '04, but didn't implode because the '03 NC was new and unexpected. Now the fanbase has a sense if entitlement(old and young alike) and are acting like spoiled brats during the game. Nothing wrong with being critical, but the early departures, booing, and silence is pathetic. TS is feared because of noise, and only fans can do that. We did not boo or go silent when the Tigers played badly before, it was just the opposite. Rationalize it if you like but this has been my most embarrassing year as a fan, and it's because of the fans, not the team. Perhaps a year like this is needed to weed out the fanbase and wake up the older fans to appreciate what we have. But all that aside, this is another doomsday thread. I think there are about 5-6 posters that seem to thrive on posting threads like this after losses and even close victories. Probably the worst part of any loss is to hear this from your own fatalistic fanbase. Geez, not even our rivals believe any of this crap.
Why Tiger Stadium is feared so much... "Baton Rouge happens to be the worst place in the world to be a visiting team. It's a dugout arena, and you get all that noise. It's like being inside a drum." - Paul "Bear" Bryant
