Didnt Justin Thompson commit to Oregon? I don't see why he went to Oregon over us compared to the DL we put in the draft unless he was scared of competition here or he knows that SEC ball is way tougher than WAC 10.

yep he is listed on rivals as committed to Oregon

    this just plain sucks

based on where we are as a national program, it sure doesn't come close to matching up recruiting wise

we better finish strong, this makes no god damn sense

Cutrera and Shepperd will be starters, Riley and Cutrera along with DB next year, and Shepperd when DB moves on. That LB class was a good one, I feel confident in what I see out of them - even Ali has looked slow and out of place at times, it happens ..especially with young ones, but all 3 of these guys have good instincts and are aggressive hitters/tacklers.

a pessimist by nature one of my first posts on this forum was asking why we didn't have any 5 star recruits. I quickly learned that questioning the coachs at LSU on Talent was a no-no.. Being a long time Tiger fan & being use to being in the picture but never seeming to "get" the big star recruits I was amazed by our sucess under Saben & to a lesser degree under Miles. But.. I agree, with over 30 victories in the last three years and in the "ship" game again I was expecting more sucess. But Goshdarn, look at the SEC coaches & the national teams we are competing with - its tough out there.
Still... we are down in my opinion, Just in conference we are running third with Georgia & Sabinville running 2-3 in the nation. They do have more players committed so I guess there is still hope to move up some.. We should never be below the top eight nationally if our coaches do a good job . Am I expecting to much?? Maybe Christmas will come twice for Tiger fans & coaches this year, Jan 7 & Feb 6.:geaux:

It's not so much that it's a no-no, just that the topic has been rehashed hundreds of times & usually people are just trying to stir the pot - not make intelligent conversation.

If Miles wins the game Jan 7th, he will have a significantly better winning percentage than Saban, on track to surpass his number of championships, and his recruiting classes have been better on an average star rating basis. Miles has surpassed Saban in every possible way. If you can't be happy with him, you never will be.

It's a down year for talent in Louisiana, combined with a poor evaluation job of our state by Rivals. LSU has a lot of underrated talent committed right now, and we will finish this class strong.

Every team has down years in recruiting. It doesn't matter.

One year can't make or break a program, really. Still though, a top 20 class is pretty good.

Is this the same Deas that committed to us like two years ago, and is just now getting qualified? If so...I'm not sure we want someone that takes two years to qualify.:nope:
