I've been a pretty good boy this year, I did slip a couple of times and watch some ACC, Big10 and PAC 10 inter-conference games but none in their entirety.

All I want for Christmas is for LSU to sign: Arthur Brown, Deangelo Benton, and Patrick Johnson- maybe Antoine McClain as a stocking stuffer.

Oh, that kid, tirk, I told you about last year is still pickin on me. Please leave him a sack of dogshyat in his stocking.

Seriously, I'm feeling like we end up with three 5* players in February- I will be off da hook with excitement.

    Who's on your Christmas list?

Nice post. I would like to add 3 things:
    1) :crystal:
    2) OT Matt Patcham
    3) DT Justin Thompson

    1. Arthur Brown - LSU has a serious lack of impact players at OLB right now, he would see the field as a true freshman
    2. TJ Bryant - potential lockdown corner, makes it so much easier to blitz
    3. Brandon Harris - another potential lockdown corner
    4. Antoine McLain - big time OT, 6'6" 315 pound pancaking specialist
    5. Matthew Patchan - big time OT, solidifies an offensive line of the future
    6. Josh Jarboe - a sturdier version of Brandon LaFell with more upside than Chris Toliver
    7. Chris Toliver - big time receiver, speed kills last time I checked
    8. Karnell Hatcher - Taylor will be leaving after next year, we need a replacement
    9. Darrell Scott - really need an RB from this class we can count on in 2 years, this would be a dandy
    10. Lerentee McCray - another big time OLB
    11. Brandon Thompson or Justin Thompson - big gap filling DT
    12. Charles Deas - DT who committed to LSU in 06 but could not play due to academic reasons, he's a hoss

LSU is considered no worst than 3rd among favorites to recruit these players.

I am assuming we are good with Deangelo Benton, so I don't include him on this list. I am also assuming we get Tyler Edwards (TE) and Jericho Nelson (ATH) if we want them. I don't include Patrick Johnson because we are not in the mix.

That's my 12 days of christmas.

    Thank you.

    Stacey Kiebler...still.

But I digress. Glad you started this thread, because I just perused the Rivals Top 100, and came away encouraged. For months, I've been reading all the "What's up with recruiting??? Why are we so down this year???" threads here...and now I notice that we have only 20 commits, following a couple of 3* decommits...which leaves at least 8 more for us to sign this year. We have 2 of the top 100 already in the fold, and have a shot at 8 others in the top 100.

Now, I'm not foolish enough to believe we get all 8 of those...BUT...if we are able to get just 2 or 3 of them...that would give us 5 in the top 100. Miles is generally a strong closer, and we have a full month after the BCSNCG. Should we win...it will only help our cause. I feel good about this years class.:thumb:

Oh by the way, I hate Rivals.
I think Scout.com is much better at this.

I like yours and islstl's add-M. Patchan, just didn't want to be TOO greedy. Being his father played at UM, imo, he will be hard to pull out of Florida. Even with the state of things at UM, I'd have to feel UF would have more of a chance being he's a Florida kid but as long as he's shopping, I know we at least have a chance.

MASTERMIND, Tenuta is a great one to put on the list, too. :thumb:

I hadn't realized Deas didn't qualify, but I remember reading about him and hope we can get him eligible too.

You have a much better chance of limiting out on reds.......with Nootch in your boat. :hihi:
