Needs like one more class with a good grade and they decided it would be better for him to sit out and take some kind of other course than go the juco route and loose another year of eligibility.
I am not wanting to write the kid off and give up on him, but geez, he will be what? 20-21 before he is a high school graduate?
and we could add about 15 other kids name to that list who ended up being pretty special players at LSU.
Even so, Clair makes a valid point. With the increasing number of high profile student athletes interested in LSU each year, and a limited number of schollies, how long will they continue to pursue a kid that won't take care of business? At this rate, I could be drawing social security before he suits up!
