Did he grow some? He was 6'3 last year, and now rivals has him at 6'5. That would be cool if he hits another growth spurt and stays that athletic.
Interesting, Rivals now lists him as an LSU commit. Well, that makes him our first 5 star this year! I don't think that his height is correct.
Is he one of those that is going to qualify and come in early like Jan or something? That would be really sweet!
As far as the recruiting services are concerned, Benton would count in 2 recruiting classes, last year and this year right? This is kind of a glitch in their system. I can't recall whether he was ranked as a 3 or 4 star last year, but I know he wasn't a 5 star. If he was a 3 star it was probably because of his academic woes.
He was a 4 star, started off as a 3 though. In the original class rankings, Benton counted in our class, but later Rivals redoes the rankings based on who actually gets on campus, so he wasn't in that one (Bama lost 2 of their top signees & Auburn lost a ton of guys, by the way).
I dont think he will get in that early. But he will make a splash when he arrives. he would have this year.
