Fedora is supposed to be a helluva recruiter, and I know DB wanted to play close to home. I never thought the "close to home" thing was gonna matter much when it came to choosing LSU...as LSU is only a little over two hours from Ocean Springs...USM's a little over an hour away...not a big deal either way.

Wifey says that he loved Fedora, as did his mom...so maybe that's all it was. I just remember all the talk was that he couldn't qualify for an SEC school, so he wound up at USM. USM is a good program...but is definitely mid level. He will be a HUGE fish in a small pond there. He will be part of an exciting new brand of USM football, and USM will be better for it.

He is the talk of the town already, and practice just started. Aside from being a WR, he is likely to return punts...which will be awfully fun to watch. There aren't many 6'6" 230 lbers running 4.4s in CUSA...or the SEC...or the NFL for that matter.
