Scout.com moved LSU back up as his first choice, i dont know how credible that is, anyone have any information on this?
He was considered a LSU lock coming into the season. Im not really sure why so many say he will commit to Ole Miss? Im assuming because of all the young talent at WR may be a part. I also think a lot has to do with the fact that he is considered a definite JC player because of his lack of grades and ACT scores.
He has been considered LSU lock for 2 years now. The Ole Miss slant I believe came in because of one of the new coaching hires. Cant remember exactly who it was or the exact relationship he had with the coach.
The Ole Miss lean came in because there were rumors (not random internet whispers, a bit more serious) that they were giving him cash, paying for his school clothes, and would "help" him qualify if he went to Ole Miss. Patrick Johnson has helped us recruit Brown, but Ole Miss also lost the coach that Brown was closest too, which has probably helped us more.
Q and A with him from the Army game: http://florida.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=756929 Are you still looking at LSU? What do you feel are the biggest differences (good or bad) between us and Ole Miss? Best of luck to you wherever you decide to go! - SugarLandTiger75 Brown - Yes. LSU is still heavily recruiting me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are depth charts at both schools going to play a role in your decision?? Can you breakdown the coaching staffs at both OM and LSU?? Who do you like the best?? - TL3 Brown - I haven't been really talking to Ole Miss staff. I'm currently trying to get to know them better. LSU- I've been close with their coaching staff since I was a freshman because they recruited one of my teammates Richard Dixon. ... What intrigues you the most about Ole Miss? Also, what is your opinion on the new coaching staff at Ole Miss, especially the new offensive coordinator, David Lee? - Rebel Man Brown - I think the people around the community and being an in-state school. They show you a lot of support. That's something that fits well with me. I don't know too much about the offensive coordinator, but the new coaching staff is pretty fair with me and I'm getting to know them a lot better and hopefully it will keep going well.
More info from the game: http://www.sunherald.com/253/story/274947.html One of the staples of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is that some of the players take the opportunity to announce their football commitment to a national TV audience. Brown said that won't happen with him. "I'm still weighing my options," he said. "I won't be ready to do it at the game yet. I will make a decision before the signing time." Though numerous schools are recruiting Brown, he said Wednesday the five main ones he is considering currently are LSU, Florida, Ole Miss, Texas Tech and Southern Miss.
